1. Highlight: Handling daylight saving time

Daylight saving time (DST) is the practice of moving clocks forward to make the most of natural light during warmer months. While the time shift is only one hour, it can bring unexpected challenges. It’s especially frustrating for folks who are working or connecting across different time zones. We’ve rounded up the top 5 DST challenges and some practical ways to handle them easily and keep your scheduling smooth.

2. Use case: Scheduling across time zones
Working with events across multiple time zones is a normal need in today’s connected world. Whether we’re connecting with loved ones on the other side of the world, working remotely with a global team, or sharing events with a worldwide audience, we have to schedule across time zones.
Teamup can help with these scenarios, with automatic time zone detection, event time conversion, and more. Find out how you can use Teamup to manage events and share accurate event timing with folks all over the world.

3. Feature highlight: Automatic time zone conversion
With Teamup, event timing is automatically converted accurately when you change time zones. So you can create events in your own time zone, then change to a different time zone, and the event time will shift. Or share the event with a colleague or friend; the event timing will adjust for the time zone they’re viewing.
See how easy it is to use by checking the current time in a city around the world. Choose any city from the list, then click the time zone indicator in the bottom right to change to another time zone. The current time indicator and events will shift appropriately.

5. October’s power tips from the Teamup Ticker
Keep the current week at the top of the screen
With Teamup, when working in a browser, you can use Multi-week view instead of Month view. Multi-week view automatically keeps the current week at the top of the screen. Rather than a static view of each month, you get a dynamic view of several weeks, up to 53 weeks, with the current week always on top.
Calendar settings vs Teamup app settings
The Teamup calendar settings are the “control center” for the calendar, accessible only by an administrator. Teamup app settings are available for all users for app-specific configuration, not for the calendar itself.
Display a calendar with a limited date range
Customize an embedded Teamup calendar to show only a limited date range by choosing the appropriate calendar view, setting the starting date, and hiding date controls.
Easily compare calendar data points
Choose which sub-calendars to be visible, and use the built-in filters to view events in Table view and compare data across date ranges.
Keep group calendar links secure
If you share a link-based calendar URL with a large group to eliminate the need for everyone to create their own user accounts, you can enable password protection for the link to keep it secure and accessible only by currently authorized people.
6. Product updates: Mobile browser, push notifications (early access)
An improved mobile browser experience
If you frequently use Teamup on a mobile browser, you’ll love our latest update. We’ve made the Teamup web client easier and more fun to use on a mobile device with swiping to navigate and improved behavior throughout.
Early access to push notifications for calendar changes
We are rolling out push notifications for mobile phones. The notifications are pushed to your mobile devices when changes occur: an event is added, modified, or removed. If you’re in the selected group of users with early access, go to Teamup app settings to enable push notifications for calendar changes.
