What’s inside

1. Story: From crisis to daily efficiency at schools

A map of Switzerland with the canton of Vaud highlighted; overlaid is a tablet and phone showing event details from the school calendar powered by Teamup

When COVID-19 hit, schools across Canton de Vaud, Switzerland’s third-largest canton, faced a major challenge. Like other schools across the world, they had to quickly shift thousands of students and teachers to a remote learning system. While the crisis has subsided and schools are back to normal, Teamup remains and has become part of the everyday school life in Canton of Vaud. What started as a basic scheduling and assignment-sharing system has remained, expanded, and better integrated. Learn how they use Teamup to bring daily efficiency with streamlined, user-friendly school calendars.

2. Visibility made easy with embedded calendars

On a blue background, a browser mockup with an embedded calendar highlighted and emphasized. The calendar shows speaker profiles for a conference agenda.

Embedding a color-coded and well-organized calendar into websites is a common need for many organizations. It helps boost the visibility of events, resource availability, program schedules and attract more participation. Teamup’s versatile calendar views offer all the options and flexibility you need for the perfect display. Choose from 12 calendar views for the perfect event layout, adjust the configuration with our Embed Wizard, and work with link parameters for even more control. Get more ideas from our growing collection of embedded calendars we have found on the web.

3. Product comparison: Teamup vs Excel or Airtable

A color-coded Teamup calendar on a tablet. Each sub-calendar is shown in its own column, with multiple events. The columns are labeled for different rooms.

Managing a resource schedule shared across dozens of events, while keeping a busy team updated in real-time, is a big challenge. Add in another factor: The events are happening across multiple locations, or rely on multiple shared resources. It’s a challenge across different industries and scenarios, but it’s surprisingly difficult to get the best layout for this type of scheduling scenario. Check out this clear comparison of Excel and Airtable with Teamup’s clear, structured visualization with flexible configuration and real-time updates.

Drag and drop events to change duration or date

In a view with a time grid,  click and drag an event to a different date/time. Or drag the edge of an event to adjust the duration.

A gif shows a Bookings calendar. The events are dragged from one date to another to reschedule. Or the bottom of an event is dragged to change the event duration.

Adjust event sort order in Tiles view

Tiles view (browser only) provides a beautiful visual event display. The calendar admin can set the events to sort in to ascending (calendar style) or descending (blog style) order.

Teamup calendar settings, highlighting Calendar Views > Tiles View > Event Sort Order with buttons for Ascending or Descending.

Upload audio files on iOS/iPhone to the Teamup app

If you’re using the Teamup app on iOS, and want to upload an audio file, you need to make sure the audio file is saved to Files. Then you can access and upload it to a Teamup event.

Three mobile screens show voice recordings on an iOS phone, three button menu highlighted, then Save to Files, then Save.

Update Teamup for a company-wide email change or rebranding

If your organization is rebranding or making a name change that requires switching to a different email domain, here are some steps to take to update Teamup accordingly.
Teamup calendar settings: Identity > showing Calendar Title, Customize Header options.

Use calendar titles to share more information with no-details users

When sharing access with no-details, users will see events as Reserved with details hidden. You can use additional sub-calendars to provide info like event status without changing the access level.

An event preview shows an event Title as Reserved, the date and time, and Calendar names: "Large Meeting Room" and "Status > Tentative"
