Story: “One big house calendar” for a children’s home
Imagine juggling schedules for 90 children with all their activities, trips, chores, and school rides while coordinating over 100 tutors, caregivers, and staff. At The Littlest Lamb, this isn’t a hypothetical challenge.
Before they found Teamup, the nonstop operations and complex scheduling was managed on dozens of spreadsheets. It was a stressful setup, so Marina Rina, General Manager at the children’s home, set out to find a better solution. When she came across Teamup, she knew it was the right fit.

Highlight: Visibility control for all event fields
Our latest update expands the option to control visibility for event fields. Now you can set the visibility level for all event fields except the Title and Calendar fields. This opens up powerful customization options for better workflows and protection of sensitive information. For example:
- Make a formatted text field for internal notes visible only to office staff with modify permission, hidden from crew members with read-only permission.
- Add a number field for invoice amounts and make it visible only to staff members, hidden from external contributors without modify permission.

Product updates: Map integration, event duration
Map integration available for all text fields
Along with the expanded visibility control for event fields, we’ve also expanded map integration. Prior to this update, only the Where field had map integration, which the calendar admin could enable or disable. Now, map integration can be enabled for all single-line text fields and formatted text fields. So you can provide a location for pick-up and drop-off, or provide the closest parking location along with the event address.
Set default event duration to any number
Another update: Calendar administrators can now set the default event duration to any number of minutes, rather than choosing from preselected intervals. Supported values are 5 to 600 minutes. For organizations that work with specific time increments, this can be very helpful. For example, a Toastmasters group can schedule each speech session to be precisely 6 minutes; professionals who track billable hours in specific increments can adjust event duration accordingly.
