When to use a shortcut to copy events on your calendar
To repeat an event that does not occur regularly:
- You need to update your shift schedule each week once it is set by your supervisor.
- You have weekly meetings with your team members, but the meeting time changes depending on each person’s travel schedule.
To repeat an event that depends on other events:
- You need to schedule another study session since you and your study group did not cover all the material.
- Your lab samples may not be ready at your next scheduled lab time, so you schedule another lab time to check and record data from the same samples.
To keep a log or record of events as they occur:
- You want to track your baby’s feeding or sleep schedule; create an initial event, then copy for each feeding or nap.
- Your bird-watching group logs their sighting of certain birds; copy an event with the name and description of the bird for each new sighting.
