How to Make Weekend Exceptions for Monthly Events

Contents

Let’s say you want to schedule an event to occur on the 4th of every month. However, if the 4th of a month falls on a Saturday, you would like to move the event to Friday, or move it to Monday if the 4th is a Sunday. Here are the steps to quickly achieve this on a Teamup calendar:

  1. Create a recurring event, e.g. repeating on the 4th of each month.
  2. Switch to the year view in the top right if you are in another view.
  3. Drag any event instance that falls on a Saturday to Friday, or from a Sunday to Monday.

Since weekends are shaded, it’s easy to spot any event that falls on a weekend. Simply drag it to Friday or Monday, choose to apply the change to this event only.

Pro Tip

If you have a busy calendar with many events, before dragging the events that are the exceptions (step 3), filter your view to see the event series only. Or, filter to see as few events as possible.
